Induction motors are going to exist in our industry for many years to come. A good foundation of motor theory is crucial for a career in HVAC/R. Basic motor fundamentals are needed for all motors from watt rated, shaded pole to 3 phase to ECM. Teaching these fundamentals is crucial to building technicians that can work on the motors of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. In this class we will break down the fundamentals of all induction motors and discuss their different designs and applications.
