Proper refrigerant piping practices, in adherence with manufacturer's guidelines, help ensure proper oil return to the compressor and helps improve the performance of air conditioning systems. The oil-return system plays an especially important role in mini-split and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems. This session will discuss the many challenges faced on the oil return front, how to address them, and how to effectively teach your students about this often overlooked aspect of system installation.
