Mini split heat pump application, sizing and design considerations for cold-climates. In this four-part course, each session is approximately 1-hour long and addresses best-practices and application of load-calculations, system capacity, system type (ducted/ductless/short-ducts), indoor and outdoor unit location(s), and duct design. It highlights optimizing energy and thermal comfort performance for the home, apartment, or small business.

Darrin Kramer is a professional in the HVAC industry for 35 years. His experience includes residential and light commercial sales, service, installation and design of residential and light commercial systems. He served 18 of those years with a mechanical contractor in Alabama. He was the Vice President of operations for four years.

He worked six years with Goodman manufacturing as a gas furnace product specialist and later as a Regional Technical manager and course instructor over a four-state area.

His next six years he the Residential HVAC engineer working for DNV GL designing, implementing and teaching HVAC energy efficiency programs for Arizona Public Service, a utility provider.

He is currently the Western Regional Trainer for Fujitsu General America, Inc. for six years. He trains other HVAC trainers on HVAC technical products, installation and service curriculum. He designs online HVAC technical learning courses.

Darrin is a Certified Heat Pump Educator.
