Refrigeration 101: Main Components and its Principles
Presented by John Prall (embraco)
Course Overview
Do you remember the basics of how the refrigeration cycle works? This RSES Manufacturer Webinar Series explores some important basic concepts and how to apply it to your real-world system designs. Specifically, this webinar covers basic definitions (refrigeration/refrigerants/heat), what makes a good refrigerant and how to read a PH diagram. The refrigeration cycle will be covered, along with the four major components of a refrigeration system to understand the impact they have on system performance and efficiency as they are adjusted. This impact will be seen on the PH diagram, which will also demonstrate why natural refrigerants (R-290 and R-600a) are good options to use in system design.
Each webinar includes a 60-70 minute webinar along with a 10-question quiz. A certificate of completion for 1 CEH/0.1 CEU is available after the successful completion of the quiz.
