Valve Construction, Selection and Troubleshooting
Presented by Steve Wellander, CM, RCT
Course Overview
This webinar will have three sections. The first will cover the basic design and construction of the TXV. Each component will be covered and their functions will be described in detail. The next section of the webinar will cover the proper valve selection. Starting with temperature of the refrigerant entering the valve, how to determine the pressure drop through each part of the system and selecting the valve capacity from the manufactures tables will be discussed. The last section will cover the troubleshooting problems with TXVs. This includes: under feeding valves; over feeding valves; and the most common ways to fix or adjust the valves for optimal performance.
Each webinar includes a 60-70 minute webinar along with a 10-question quiz. A certificate of completion for 1 CEH/0.1 CEU is available after the successful completion of the quiz.
